About This Place

Nestled in the heart of Byron, Minnesota, TT's Tilted Tavern offers a warm and inviting bar & grill experience that perfectly marries casual dining with neighborhood charm. This local favorite, located at 403 Frontage Rd NE, beckons both passing travelers and devoted locals with its hearty menu and genuine Midwestern hospitality.

TT's proudly showcases a diverse menu that caters to those craving classic bar fare with a creative twist. Start your culinary adventure with some of their standout appetizers like the Giant Warm Pretzel or the indulgent Tt's Ultimate Nachos loaded with vibrant layers of melted cheese and fresh toppings. For those who seek traditional comfort, their Battered Mushrooms and Homemade Cheese Curds deliver a perfect balance of crispiness and rich flavor—though some diners have noted the cheese curds occasionally miss their mark on texture, adding a genuine note of authenticity to the tavern's evolving kitchen craft.

When it comes to main entrees, TT's Tilted Tavern truly shines. Dive into the robustly flavored Mushroom Bacon Swiss Burger or the richly stacked Tipsy Burger, where juicy patties meet complementary toppings that burst with each bite. For those who prefer poultry, the Roasted Chicken Breast with Mashed Potatoes and Gravy offers a comforting and satisfying plate. The Chicken Philly provides a savory option that perfectly balances tender chicken with melted cheese and sautéed peppers, all nestled in a warm hoagie roll. Don’t miss out on ordering their famous Buffalo Chicken Wings—as one satisfied guest, John Vossen, expressed, these bone-in wings are crispy, well-sauced, and offer just the right amount of heat without overwhelming the palate.

For pizza lovers, the selection is anything but ordinary. Whether it's a classic Two Topping or an adventurous Bacon Cheeseburger Pizza, each pie is crafted with a crispy crust and generous toppings that promise to satisfy. Specialty pies like the Chicken Bacon Ranch or the Buffalo Chicken Pizza jazz up your dining experience with bold flavors and perfect cheese melts.

The atmosphere at TT's Tilted Tavern echoes the friendly vibe that Byron is known for. Step inside to find a space accented with distinctive tabletops and a lively yet relaxed bar setting. Whether you're stopping in for a quick drink or settling down for a meal with friends, the attentive and prompt service elevates the visit to something special, as many patrons — including John Dean — have appreciated.

What truly sets TT's apart is the consistency and warmth in both food and service. Karlene Tutewohl perfectly sums it up: “Whether your destination is Byron or you're just driving through, stop by for good food and a friendly welcome every time you walk in the door!” It’s this welcoming spirit combined with delectable food like the Club Wrap with Coleslaw or Broasted Chicken with Crispy Crowns that keeps guests coming back.

For those seeking a satisfying bite accompanied by a well-crafted cocktail, TT’s Bloody Mary is a highlight that pairs seamlessly with any dish, making it a go-to spot for day or night. Though the building’s exterior might not wow at first glance, the experience inside proves that sometimes the best treasures come without pretense, delivered with a genuine heart and plate full of passion.

TT's Tilted Tavern isn’t just a place to eat – it’s a place to feel at home, replete with good cheer, memorable meals, and delightful gatherings. Whether stopping for lunch, dinner, or a casual evening out, this gem in Byron deserves a spot on every traveler’s and local’s list.

The service was GREAT! I am always looking for great buffalo wings and their bone in wings were very good. Twelve wings, $17. Deep fried drenched in sauce. Their size was not tremendous, but the were crispy and not sloppy wet skin flappn' wings. The curly fries were pretty tasty also, light and crispy.

We came here for a later lunch so it wasn't very busy. The outside of the building is fairly unremarkable but the interior was nice and I liked the table tops. The server was prompt and friendly. I had the tavern burger and my wife had a gyro and both were good. If you are willing to get good food in bar setting this is a good spot.

Great place in small town Byron. Amazing pretzel with queso dip - eat while it’s hot! We ordered burgers and they were good. Sidewinders as a side are twisted potato wedges. Cold beer, pull tabs, etabs, frozen pizza to go and ice cream machine that can have booze added. Worth a stop!!

this is one of our new favorite places in Rochester or Byron. It's a nice little bar that has absolutely the best broasted chicken in town. I've had all the roasted chickens and this one is far better. The fries are very good as well they're thin cut steak fries and very unique and season well. The buffalo chicken salad as well was very good service was amazing happy to go back again.
